Lab of Misfits

Lab of Misfits officially opened in the Science Museum

On 9th November, the Science Museum officially announced the opening of Lab of Misfits, in recognition of the fact that Beau Lotto and his team have, during their one-year residency, established Lab of Misfits as an inspiring addition to the museum's Special Exhibitions. In its press release, the museum described Lab of Misfits as 'a unique research space that seeks to engage the public in a way that has never been done before inside the Science Museum.

Anthony Richards, Head of Gallery Programmes at the museum, said: ‘Since Beau Lotto took up his residency at the Science Museum he has created a lab and a series of programmes that is like no other – with their unique blend of art, science, curiosity, illusion and music to entertain children, adults and scientists alike. We are delighted to be able to open up the lab to allow more people to engage with actual research, interact with real scientists and be more inquisitive about the world around them.'

Lab of Misfits now features on the Science Museum website, under Special Exhibitions.
