The Lates draw thousands of people to the Science Museum on the last Wednesday of each month in a highly energetic, party atmosphere, and Lab of Misfits is one of the most popular attractions of the night.
During the Lates, our aim is to create a club-like atmosphere in which we can entertain, inspire and also investigate the public. Here's a taste of what's on offer each month:
A headline experiment designed to attract hundreds of subjects in one evening, as well as smaller scale experiments. All the data gathered is used in our research.
Live music entertainment provided by leading London DJs and other acts who play sessions using our 77-speaker Soundwall.
Other live entertainment: previous acts have included a graffiti artist and close-up magician.
In-house illusions and installations, including our bee towers, with numerous explainers on hand to help, explain and demonstrate.
The Brain Bar, serving cocktails created by our own mixologist and sponsored by Bottlegreen cordials, and paid for by donation.
News of past Lates events, as well as notice of future ones, is available on the News page, and also on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
